Welcome to Chiropractic Services

Dr. Sonja Mountain, D.C., specializes in several gentle, non-invasive techniques of chiropractic care including, but not limited to:

Activator Methods Technique:

A gentle, low-force program of chiropractor care. It has been safely used for nearly 40 years to benefit people with a wide range of health problems—without drugs or surgery! In the late 1960's, this revolutionary chiropractic technique was developed to improve safety and comfort for patients.

Since then, the technique has grown to be the most widely-used "low force" chiropractic technique in the world.

The Activator Technique incorporates the latest advances in orthopedic, neurological, and chiropractic examinations, along with a unique system of administering spinal adjustments. Using the Activator analysis and the Activator instrument, your chiropractor can help restore spinal balance, safely and comfortably.

Torque Release Technique:

Torque release bases its technique on gentle touch and light thrusting by hand or instrument. This low-force adjusting method allows the nervous system to better integrate and understand the new corrective information and to process it throughout the spinal cord and brain. Because analysis and correction are not limited to just the area of pain and symptoms, integration tends to be more complete and healing experiences are deeper in all areas of the body, mind, and emotions. Torque Release releases tensions on the spinal cord by correcting subluxations of spinal segments intimately connected with the meninges or attachments of the spinal cord. It leads to profound neurological changes that benefit everyone – no matter what symptom or level of health they are currently experiencing. The primary intent of Torque Release Technique is to progressively reduce blockages and tension of the entire spinal system, to release trapped unresolved patterns in the body/mind, and to facilitate reintegration of the nervous system, allowing a greater expression of one’s healing and performance capabilities.

Cranial-Sacral Therapy:

A light-touch manual approach that enhances the body’s natural healing capabilities. For nearly 30 years is has been shown to be effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and loss of function. CST is useful as both a primary treatment method and combined with other traditional or complementary techniques. By gently working with the spine, the skull and its cranial sutures, diaphragms, and fascia, the restrictions of nerve passages are eased, the movement of cerebrospinal fluid through the spinal cord can be optimized, and misaligned bones can be restored to their proper position. Craniosacral therapists use the therapy to treat mental stress, neck and back pain, migraines, TMJ Syndrome, and to aid chronic pain conditions such as fibromyalgia.

Neural Organization Technique:

A hands on, non-invasive kinesiological technique that corrects faults in the body, which cause disorganization within the central nervous system. It creates a state of balance and reorganization of primary neurological reflex centers of the body.
